Bluebell Bus will leave on March 5th 2018 from the Millennium Bridge in Newcastle.
Come and join in the fun as we set-off on our 7,000 mile journey to promote the Charity Daft as a Bush Cancer Patient Care! A 2 year adventure to travel the length of the coastal footpath walk of both Great Britain and Ireland starting on Monday March 5th 2018. This epic journey is to promote nationally, the Charity Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care transport service nationally. This is free of charge in the Tyne and Wear area, for cancer patients that require to get to and from hospital for treatment.
Come along for a cuppa and biscuit and give us a big cheer – Meet special guests, Daft as a Brush Team and cheers us off – Enjoy the fun at this very special event.

Bede Wind Orchestra at Grey’s Monument will echo with the sound of music!
The Monument will never be the same again as the Bede Wind Orchestra perform a free open-air concert especially in aid of Daft as a Brush. There is no compulsory ticket purchases, however, our team of volunteers will be on-hand to take small bucket donations. So come along and enjoy the music! Thank you.

Daft as a Brush will be at the Powburn Show on 4th August 2016. Come along and join in the fun at this great event!
The Powburn Show is the first of the annual Cheviot Sheep and Horticultural Shows. Held on the first Saturday of August we strive to provide a day of entertainment for the family. Events include Sheep Classes and Indusrtrial, Flower & Vegetable classes. Other sporting competitions include Pony Jumping & Sports, a Fell Race, Cumberland Wrestling and a Terrier Race & Show
The Marquee hosts a Tea Tent plus Craft & Food Stalls. The outside area hosts a car boot sale, further trade stands, children’s show ground attractions and catering vans providing hot roast sandwiches and Fish & Chips.
Tickets: Adults £4, Concessions £3, Children £5-16 years £2.00, Under 5 years fee.

Support all our runners at the Great North Run !
Starting in Newcastle upon Tyne the 13.1 mile route takes runners through the city centre towards the River Tyne where thousands of people will cross over the iconic Tyne Bridge, where if you’re lucky, you might get a glimpse of the Red Arrows passing overhead. From there runners will travel through Gateshead while being entertained many bands on the run. The route, lined by thousands of supporters, leads runners to South Shields where at the top of Prince Edward Road the view of the sea is one of the most welcoming sights along the whole course.
Show your support to the runners who are raising funds for Daft as a Brush – We’ll be at the 6 mile mark to cheer them all on!!!

Schools and youth orchestras from Newcastle upon Tyne and South Tyneside are joining forces to take part in the Daft as a Brush Schools Prom at 2.00p.m. on Sunday 14 October 2018 at the City Hall, Newcastle.
The response from schools has been enthusiastic and there will be a number of choirs from Newcastle and South Tyneside with two bands, one from Newcastle and one from South Tyneside.
Join us for a fantastic afternoon of fun and music by local youth orchestras & schoolchildren from throughout our region – Tickets only £6 adult, £3 children.

Children will be singing your favorite festive carols from 10am-12pm.
Seghill First School with be singing from 10-11am
Cragside Primary School will be singing from 11-12pm
