The twinkling glow of Christmas lights is an iconic symbol of the holiday season, especially poignant at the offices of Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care where over 1 million LED’s are set to shine – 13th November 2025 from 6pm!
The charity, founded by Brian Burnie, was established to help cancer patients get to and from their medical appointments free of charge. Daft as a Brush has established itself as a vital force for good throughout the northeast. This year’s light switch-on boasts over 1 million colourful LED’s but the twinkling lights on the tree, building and gardens tell a deeper story. Each light represents a single cancer patient journey completed by the charity since its creation over a decade ago.
Call in on Thursday 13th November to be part of this fabulous event! No tickets or charges just some family fun with warming soup and great company! The running costs for the lights are covered by Mr Burnie.
